Supported Platforms and Requirements
Platforms
macOS native: Apple Silicon or Intel Mac with macOS 14.0+.
Windows native: Planned; Windows 10/11 64-bit (availability under evaluation)
Web on Desktop: Modern desktop browser with WebAssembly support. Use a recent version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari on macOS, Windows or Linux.
Web on Mobile is not officially supported, mainly due to limited screen space and keyboard constraints. While the app can load if the user requests the desktop version on a mobile device, we recommend using it in read-only mode only. Note that the current version requires a keyboard with at least a
Shift
key (to rotate a sign face) and aSpace
key (for panning).
Tablets: Considered for future support, not available yet.
Smartphones: Will not be supported due to limited screen size.
Hardware: A discrete GPU is optional but highly recommended.
Internet: Required for authentication and licensing.
Account: A valid VLANSCO Techlabs user account. You can create one on the VLANSCO website.
Installation
Web
No installation needed. Visit https://wfp.vlans.co and log in with your VLANSCO credentials.macOS native
Download the
.dmg
installer for your system (Intel or Apple Silicon) from the downloads page.Double-click the
.dmg
file to mount it.Drag the Wayfinding Planner app to your Applications folder.
Launch the app.
Windows native
Coming soon.
License Management
Activation
To use the app you must have a VLANSCO Techlabs account and an active subscription or trial.
Open the app.
Web: Log in with your VLANSCO credentials when prompted. An activation dialog will appear.
macOS or Windows: Launch the app normally.
Click Activate License.
If prompted, log in with your VLANSCO credentials in the browser window that opens (
https://accounts.vlans.co
).If you are signed in with a different account, log out first by going to your profile at VLANSCO Techlabs website and then log back in with the correct credentials.
Wait for the progress indicator and success confirmation.
Click Continue to the app to close the dialog and begin using the application.
