WFP Shortcuts

Use these shortcuts while working in the Level View.

View Navigation

  • Pan: Space + Drag, or scroll with two fingers on a trackpad.

  • Zoom: Cmd (Ctrl) + Mouse wheel on macOS (Windows), or pinch on a trackpad.

  • If pan or zoom does not respond, uncheck Auto fit in the Level view controls bar.

Select Elements

  • Select an element: Click.

  • Toggle one element in the selection: Cmd (Ctrl) + Click.

  • Select multiple objects: Click + Drag in the Level View to draw a rectangular lasso.

  • Extend the selection with another rectangular lasso: Cmd (Ctrl) + Drag.

  • To select a multi-faced sign, click its anchor point, shown as a circle near the sign center.

Edit Selected Elements

  • Copy: Cmd (Ctrl) + C.

  • Paste: Cmd (Ctrl) + V.

  • Cut: Cmd (Ctrl) + X.

  • Copy as a raster image: Cmd (Ctrl) + Shift + C.

  • Delete: Backspace (Delete).

  • Undo: Cmd (Ctrl) + Z.

  • Redo: Cmd (Ctrl) + Shift + Z.

Reposition Elements

  • Move a Path Point, Sign Face, or group of selected objects: Drag the element.

  • Rotate a Sign Face: Shift + Drag the sign face.

Inspect Signs and Targets

  • Preview messages generated for a sign: hover a sign.

  • Pin a sign-focused inspector: Cmd (Ctrl) + Alt + Click a sign.

  • Preview signs and messages that point to a target: hover a target point.

  • Pin a target-focused inspector and select its bound destination in the Destination Dictionary: Cmd (Ctrl) + Alt + Click a target point.

  • Inspectors can trace message routes, making it easier to review why a message appears on a sign.

Context Menus and Cancel

  • Open a context menu: right-click or secondary-click an element or the Level background.

  • Cancel the current operation or close a context menu: Esc.
